The -Ber Months are Here

September 1 marks the start of the -ber months (September, October, November, and December).  In Philippine culture, it means that the Christmas season is about to begin.  In a few weeks, we'll start hearing Christmas songs played in restaurants, malls and other public places.  Which reminds me that I have to update my own collection of Christmas songs.  Christmas countdown may start later on October, but Filipinos can feel the need to save up for the holidays.  Last year, many didn't feel the Christmas spirit, probably because of financial crises.  Though this year won't be that different as far as finances are concerned, I do hope that people (not only Filipinos) will make that effort to emanate the spirit of the season despite the difficulties we all experience.
