I’m officially a Paul Potts fan! I watched his concert here in Manila with Mama and I have an autographed CD of his first album, One Chance. (Almost) Two consecutive nights of Paul Potts experience. This is the farthest I’ve gone as far as admiring an artist.
World Singing Sensation: Paul Potts
His October 8 concert at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) was fantastic! I never imagined I’d be able to watch a concert as beautiful as his. It was simple, but tremendously moving. Paul Potts not being a mainstream artist in the music industry, I thought few Filipinos would be able to appreciate his kind of music. I was wrong. Totally wrong. The Plenary Hall of the PICC was packed with people eager to feel the magic of Paul Potts’ voice.
The experience was surreal. I was seated listening to a man whose voice transmit heartfelt emotions and puts everyone in awe. Among the songs he wonderfully sang, my favorites were, and still are, Everybody Hurts (Ognuno Soffre), Cavatina Time To Say Goodbye (Con Te Partiro), and of course, the song that introduced his talent to the world – Nessun Dorma – which he sang as encore.
I feel blessed to have had the chance to experience Paul Potts. It’s not just his performance that is good. What makes this ordinary man extraordinary is the humility and sincerity he manifests to all. During the concert, he never failed to say thank you at the end of each performance and to appreciate everyone’s effort to expend a portion of “hard-earned money” to see him showcase his extraordinary talent. I can’t remember any other artist as sincere as he is.
CD Signing at Greenbelt
I must give a BIG thank you to Kristy for making the autographed CD possible. Though I tried my best to be at the venue for the CD signing two nights ago, I failed. Nevertheless, Kristy was kind enough to line up for me, and have it signed by Mr. Potts. Even she was amazed by the humility showed by the man.K risty said he looked straight into people’s eyes. Too bad I missed it, but I’m still happy to have the signed album and poster.
Again, Kristy, thank you very much! It really means a lot to me.
Kristy, Carmel and I had dinner at Mr. Rockefeller afterwards.
I hope Paul Potts continue to inspire people, to remain down-to-earth, and to keep the magnificent singing talent. And another thing, I hope he comes back to Manila.
I am and will always be a fan.

No prob, Quing!
Thanks for dinner!
It was a sold out concert according to Bandila so hindi malayong bumalik siya in the future.
Naaalala ko pa rin at natatawa ako sa sinabi ng mom mo: "Mrs. Potts"
