It's just two days before Christmas, and yet I don't feel the Christmas cheer as much as I've felt it during the past Christmas seasons. Before, the first day of September already rouses the excitement and anticipation that Christmas usually brings. This year, things are a bit different. The fact that I'm already working may have contributed to the diminishing Christmas spirit (though the thrill of shopping hasn't died down! Hehehe!). It is just so unfortunate that my work schedule is from 5 pm to 2 am. With that, I still have the dilemma of whether I should report to work on the 24th, or not. Yes, I do have work on Christmas eve. And given my schedule, I might be having my own little noche buena at work. Christmas, for me, is non-negotiable. The 24th and 25th of December are two days in a year that I dedicate to my family. I don't know why I'm still battling with the idea of going to work on those days. Had I been assigned with an earlier shift (or better yet, taken a different job), it might have been a different story.
Nevertheless, Christmas still remains to be an important occasion. There's a good chance that I'll just stay home, help with preparations, hear mass, and celebrate and enjoy Christmas with my family - just like it used to be. :)

Aww Quing ang linis ng figurine! Ako rin di ko feel. Malaking factor nga ata ang work. And nagbawas ako ng mga taong bibigyan ng gift.

I think it is mighty sweet of you for saying that you dedicate Christmas to your family. I am blessed to have a brother who values traditions like these.
Happy that we were able to celebrate Christmas with you! =)
