I'm leaving for Camarines Sur tomorrow so I'd like to leave you with an entry.
I've been coming along with Ate Shy to feeding programs, and last Wednesday, May 20, we went to Tondo to observe how the people are doing with the feeding program in their area. The kids are well-behaved and everything seems to be in order. I was mainly responsible for taking close-up shots. Here are some of them:
In this particular area, we did more than just go to the feeding program. We visited and we were given a quick tour where most of the recipients reside. It is in what they call estero. I'm sure Manila residents are familiar with this place. I would have to talk about it in another entry, though. In the meantime, let me give you a peek into the estero:
Here's one of the updates I owe you - test shots of my new telephoto lens, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM Lens. We revisited Payatas, where one of the feeding programs are held. No actual feeding session this time. Just talked with some of the facilitators.
Let me start by showing you this picture. By the way, "Do you know the way to..."
I know I owe you a lot of updates and pictures. I am requesting for your patience as I am in the process of gathering my thoughts and pictures, and also fixing my room. No joke, it's a MESS! I'm actually thinking of posting a video so you know what I'm talking about. Hehehehe! Also, I am thinking ways to earn money while I am out of work. Any ideas? Hahaha! Bills just keep coming. Argh!
I tell you, the two Davids are amazingly talented! If you think they're good on record, they're even better live! I'm originally, and still am, an Archie fan, but I've been Cookified and blown away by the elder David's performances. They entertained the crowd of about 40,000 by powerfully singing cuts from their album.
David Archuleta's genre leans toward pop and he proved to be a promising artist. As fans expected, he sang A Little Too Not Over You and Crush, which are the hits from his album. But my personal favorite is his version of the Stand By Me / Beautiful Girls medley. I was surprised it was even part of his repertoire, but he did an excellent job! It was really fun watching David Archuleta on stage. His voice quality was superb and it was matched with his vibrant personality. Anyone watching him will have a great time. I obviously did!
David Cook, on the other hand, took everyone's breath away with his solid performances. I just had to see him sing Always Be My Baby live, and he didn't fail his fans. His every performance was powerful. It seemed effortless.
The guy knows how to work the audience. He went down the stage, grabbed two digital cameras from the audience and took pictures of himself! Lucky those people were!
I know I should stop describing everything and just show you the videos I took. Here they are:
David Archuleta sings one of his hits, A Little Too Not Over You.
My favorite, David Archuleta sings Stand By Me and Beautiful Girls.
David Cook sings Always Be My Baby.
To those who weren't able to watch the concert, the next time they come here to the Philippines to perform, don't miss it!
P.S.
Here's Mr. Archuleta thanking his fans for coming to the concert:
I'm still awake at past 2:00 am. I know I should be sleeping right now. I've got things to do tomorrow morning, but I just had to post this.
I was doing my usual blog-hopping and I came across this image:
At first I thought it was an accessory for a mobile phone, but I noticed (I'm sure you notice it as well) a phone model indicated - Nokia 888. Fortunately, the image is accompanied with a video that explains everything. Watch this:
If this is the future of mobile phones, I'm not, in anyway, interested. I like cellular phones with the conventional keypad (or QWERTY). I also do not go for slim and touch screen phones. Looks like I'd be holding on to my current phones for a long time.
My sister, Ate Shy, just arrived from the States and she brought with her my new lens Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM Lens! Can't wait to take test shots! In the meantime, see product shots of my new baby.
