Victory just ended the series Unlimited last Sunday with lessons on holding on to our faith to quell our doubts and fears in times of need.
In solving problems, we were trained, as early as grade school, to follow a scientific process wherein we look at the facts and try to derive a solution based on the things that we can see.
When we apply this method in poblems we have to deal with in our lives, we easily get overwhelmed by the fact that we see the problem greater than the amount of resources at hand to provide solution. A classic example is handling our finances. We have so many bills to pay and basic needs to spend on that we sometimes (or most of the time) don’t know where we are going to get the money to pay for all of it.
Given this problem, as human beings we get terrified imagining the consequences we must face if we do not find solution to this predicament. And fear hinders us to hear God. While He is trying to tell us that He is in control and will provide solution to our problem, we are deaf to His voice because we are enveloped with fear.
Faith is facing the facts and holding on to God’s word.
God’s power to provide is beyond human comprehension. We may never understand how He is going to turn around the situation and give us provision. All we have to do is follow His lead, act in faith, and He will do the supernatural thing to multiply our efforts to yield countless fruits.
Only when we turn to God and believe in his supernatural means to provide can we accept his unlimited blessings.
And this we have to remember:
Love the provider, not the provision.
