Have you passed by Katipunan Avenue recently? If you have, then you’ve probably seen the bright colored mural on the walls of U.P. Diliman that speaks of environmentalism and care for wildlife.
It was A.G Saño who spearheaded the project to promulgate wildlife conservation, with emphasis on dolphins, through community art.
This particular mural painting activity, with its battle cry “Dolphins Love Freedom,” aimed to create awareness mostly among young students and educate about the importance of letting dolphins live in their natural habitat. This event was also supported by the Rotary Club of Midtown Diliman.
Julia, my four-year-old niece who’s into doodling, and arts and crafts, participated in this one-of-a-kind activity. Thank God I woke up in time to take some photos during the event.
Quite a good number of participants, students and parents, were present to share their art skills and show support for this cause.
